MN State Fair/Renaissance Festival Food...on a stick.

We didn't make it to the fair this year, but that's ok. This Saturday we shall conquer the Ren Fest and it shall be awesome. It helps that we got our renter's credit in this week. CANNOT WAIT.

Ya know, it's a damn shame that this coming weekend is the Royal Ale Tasting weekend. Damn, damn shame.

Yep. I had no idea until my brother mentioned it when we were grilling out this weekend. Even more excited!

If you've never been there on an Ale Tasting weekend, be prepared. That weekend is ALWAYS packed. Get to the pavilion early to grab a seat.

Apparently my pilates instructor attended both the MN state fair and ren fair over Labor Day. Watch out Rob and Judas. I've got my agents out there.

I can't do that kind of double-header anymore. It's just too much gastrointestinal punishment for one weekend.

TOTALLY agreed on the financial front. The prices have gotten totally ridiculous at both venues.

I also heard you have some kind of self donut fryer at Tom Thumb. What's the story on that?

Are you talking about the 'Tom Thumb Donuts' at the state fair, or are you talking about the Tom Thumb stores that we have locally?

[Ed Hocken]

It could be either the fair or the store. I don't remeber. I just know about Tom Thumbs because I see the receipts from my Texas properties.

I would not know about the self fryer. I haven't had a doughnut in ages.

I eat a donut once a week on Fridays. My office buys 4 boxes of the damn things for all of us to enjoy, and I usually grab a custard filled, chocolate frosted bizmark before they're all gone.

Me neither, Rob. I've never been big on overly sweet items...I'm the guy that scrapes the frosting off of cake and gives it to his wife to eat.
