A grilled pork loin coated with a glaze made from garlic, pineapple juice and Scotch (among other things), corn on the cob, a green salad (lettuce, grape tomatoes, black olives, radishes, feta cheese & pepperoncini). All home made. It was supposed to be a berbecue with some co-workers, but we had a goddam Biblical deluge forcing us inside (I ran out periodically to baste the meat).

Trying to make jerk chicken for the first time tonight. If you've made it well I'll take any tips. I've never had the real thing (obviously, never been to Jamaica) so I won't know if I'm doing it wrong.

Did not feel like cooking, so I got a spinach pie(spanakopita)from Trader Joe's. Not truly Greek tasting, but still pretty damn good. That, a bottle of Chianti, and Archer on Netflix makes for a pretty good evening... if one is alone, that is.

Yea, jerk chicken is incredible. I didn't make it on the pit, so we followed the baking instructions for it, but it still came out perfectly juicy and tender. I also tossed some jalapenos on top while it baked for a little more bite. Will definitely be having that again.
