While not laden with bacony goodness, I fabricated some hamburgers as well... although I stuffed mine with a fuckton of bleu cheese before grilling them. Some sauteed onion, a bit of pickle, and placed in a man-sized toasted ciabatta roll.
Foreman is shockingly good with burgers, and in my house the smoke alarms are stupid sensitive, so the Foreman cuts down on me having to fan nonexistent smoke away from the alarms every five minutes.
That's kinda pimptacular. How is the smoke factor?
On the DeLonghi? Negligable, if you use discretion. I'd rather cook the burgers a little longer on a lower setting, than smoke up my kitchen. The ones I cooked last night were around 7-8 minutes per side... enough to get the cheese inside to melt.
