That was a hell of a season finale, lots of stuff happened that I didn't see coming, and the way it wrapped up sets the stage nicely for next season (I gotta wait until 2013? ).

Also, gotta compliment everyone's performance again this season. Very solid work, and everyone took their characters to some great places.

  Spoiler: Spoilers! Spoilers, I say! 

Lucy Lawless' Lucretia did a couple of sweet character turns leading up to the end of her story arc. Even though Lucretia was a bitch on wheels, I did start feeling sorry for her when she got hooked up against her will with Ashur. I was half expecting her to be the one that did him in (though his final comeuppance was brilliant in its execution), but I was amazed at her going full on psycho when she stole Illithiya's and Spartacus' kid from her womb(?), and what she did next - WHOA. Gonna miss her next season.

I hope Illithiya isn't dead, though. By all rights, she probably is, the way she was bleeding out, but she's lost damn near everything now, and could be an even more interesting character next season.

I'm a pour a 40 out for my homies Mira, Oenomaeus, and even Glaber (boo, hiss!). Lots of well done deaths, and being a student of history, I knew Oenomaeus' death was coming, but it still was a bummer seeing him and Mira get whacked.

Is it 2013 yet? Eh, I got Magic City and Game of Thrones to tide me over until then.
