Been revisiting the first season after work every night. Holds up, and I'm sorry but I'm not a Mandy-hater (Always found Josh annoying, but that may have to do with my off-screen distaste of Bradley Whitford) although I certainly wasn't weeping when she was gone either.

Assuming there are other WW fans lurking around here?

Love West Wing, but have not seen an episode in years. Used to watch it every evening when Bravo did re-runs, and that's how I first discovered it. I won't be worth a damn discussing it unless it shows up on Instant or I find the box set for dirt cheap.

Nathan got the box set from his parents for his birthday a few years ago. He loves this show. I like it okay, but I've only seen a few episodes all the way through.

She was a tad annoying and made Josh even more so. So many awesome moments on this show. Need to get back to it. Never completely re-watched the show after I got the box set.

For the record, my dislike of Whitford stems from an appearance on Real Time in the midst of Hurricane Katrina. He mouthed off about how people down here weren't helping refugees claiming "Where's the Christianity?" if I remember the exact phrase he posed.

Had absolutely no clue what he was talking about. Every church from every domination of faith around my area always had their doors open and housed refugees for months. 100% Grade-A Jackass.

I never followed the show but of the little I saw of it. I would have loved to seen more of John Goodman as President and Ed O'Neill as the new VP.

I'll never forget the episode featuring Goodman as the acting President when I think it was CJ going through the newspapers. One of them with the headline "IN CHARGE" with Goodman gesturing at a lecturn.

And I believe that episode is one of the worst in the series.

Always annoyed at how they blatantly lied about the "original" outcome to the Santos/Vinick election.

Just be up front about it. "Yeah, Santos was always going to win." None of this "Oh well...if John Spencer hadn't died then we totally were gonna let Vinick win" bullshit.

As ambivalent as I feel having Jimmy Smits as chief executive. I could feel secure in having Bundy as the VP, ready to step into any emergency.

Had the show continued, O'Neill probably would have been a Biden-esque kind of guy. Which is funny because he's basically former PA Gov and world's greatest sex machine Ed Rendell.
