Fishished off Season 1 and got one episode into Season 2.
Thoughts:
- LOVED the 'so, where do you NOT want to go' speech from Rawls, followed by McNulty's smirk...the callback to Freamon's advice was glorious.
- Loved how everything fell apart with D'Angelo's witness situation. I can't believe that he took the 20 years.
- Love how Stringer is now running the show. Avon may be the 'leader' from behind bars, but you can tell that this is now Stringer's operation to run.
Gotta admit, I'm wondering where this new season is going. It's too early to call anything as we're just getting introduced to the new characters (LOTS of stevedores to get to know), but I suspect that Ziggy is gonna die a really bad death. Also, I'm guessing that those were Russian prostitutes that were found inside of that shipping container.Originally posted by MartinWho the fuck is Kellan Lutz?Originally posted by gravediggerBasically what I'm saying is that, based on what I've watched so far, we should all listen to Matt more often.Originally posted by MartinAnd who the FUCK is Peaches Geldof?

It's been said, and will be said, but S2 is very different. You won't get as much face time with "the streets" as "the workers" take a lot of screen time up, but it will all pay off seasons down the line. Stringer is so great, I can't wait for you to get to the hilarious "business meetings" he has with the corner boys.

I understand that S2 is a LOVE IT OR HATE IT season for the show. Personally, I have a bit of a fascination with docks, stevedores, and all of that shit, so I suspect that I'm really going to dig it. This has an 'On the Waterfront' kind of feel to it, and that's NEVER a bad thing.Originally posted by MartinWho the fuck is Kellan Lutz?Originally posted by gravediggerBasically what I'm saying is that, based on what I've watched so far, we should all listen to Matt more often.Originally posted by MartinAnd who the FUCK is Peaches Geldof?

Or season 2 is boring compared to seasons 1 and 3 imo. I prefer following the gangs and not some douche dock workers. But that's just me. And we all know I have horrible taste and apparently don't understand television shows like Mr. Hocken here."Looking like Nic Cage dressed in Kurt Cobain's closet. I think any dislike of S2 stems from the fact that people are much more interested in the lives of drug dealers and the streets that they are not familiar with than a person having troubles at work and with a fucked up family...though, that's the exact same situation "the streets" are in.

I have no problem at all with the swapping of drug dealers for dock workers. Cool, I'll probably dig this season.Originally posted by MartinWho the fuck is Kellan Lutz?Originally posted by gravediggerBasically what I'm saying is that, based on what I've watched so far, we should all listen to Matt more often.Originally posted by MartinAnd who the FUCK is Peaches Geldof?
