Why fuck Barb? I feel for her more than any of them. Let's not forget that Bill did not get his "calling" for polygamy until Barb was fighting cancer. There she was terrified and fighting death, and while she should expect a caring husband by her side he is planning on how to hedge his bets. Let's make no fucking excuses, that's what he was doing. And since then he truly has created a fucking cult of personality around himself. He may not be Roman, and definitely not Alby, but is he really better? I don't think so. He has three houses filled with children, and ignores them. He has no idea about the issue with Cara Lynn. Does he even know about her mathematics ability and the chance to go to a fine college? He doesn't even recognize the tense relationship between mother and daughter there.

And when Cara Lynn is literally having a mental breakdown his selfish wife runs away because "ME ME ME" which is exactly how Bill behaves. And instead of scolding her for being the bad wife/mother that Cara Lynn called her out on being Bill professes his love to be equal to god. Holy shit. Then these wives that he has worked so hard to turn dependent of him show up at his office in the middle of the night after "settling the children." How do you settle a bunch of toddlers? The only kid left in the house old enough to watch them is Ben, and if you didn't have your head up your ass you'd see he has some fucking problems too, not the least being considering polygamy totally fine and not considering the feelings of the girl he really cares for.

Fuck Bill. He's the villain in this series. If they give Bill a happy ending then the show is lying to itself.

Barb should've gotten out/put her foot down long ago. All the characters seem self absorbed and awful. And all of a sudden Bill's parents are lovey-dovey?

I think Barb is being self absorbed, but in the right away. She is putting HER ideas and feelings before Bill's ideas and beliefs, and that's a very good thing. I don't get Lois/Frank much either, but they've always been love/hate. Seeing them pick apart the scraps of Juniper Creek was satisfying. Bill did one good thing, and that is tear down that compound, and hopefully allow those people a chance to choose.
