        Jesus...they were just talking about her new album yesterday on NPR. At the end of the review, they casually mentioned that she was fighting recently diagnosed cancer...there was no mention that she was near death.

            Bill Gallo passed away yesterday. Man, this one hurts - huge fan of his cartoons and articles in the NY Daily News ever since I was a kid. His stories about growing up in the city, his WW2 experiences, and his cartoons resonated with me and my dad.
