Whoa, sorry to hear about both of 'em. Credit where credit's due - both were great, though my experience with Chabrol's films, and French cinema in general, is sorely lacking. McCarthy, however, is far more familiar to me from his work in the first Invasion of the Body Snatchers and horror films he's been in.
