Thank you! THANK YOU! The ridiculous shit they accuse this guy of, and then they go, "Ohhhh, NOOOOO, we're not racist!" It's no different than the Michelle Obama link I posted in the Anger Management thread. It's total racism. I knew he'd have it tougher than any other president, because not only did he have a huge mess left over from the previous eight years to clean up, but flat out, they were gonna give him a tougher time because he's black. He could go up in a helicopter and rain money and cookies down on the crowds below, and they'd still blame him for polluting the skies.

Yes, NY is getting healthier by the minute. But if they're not going to outlaw goddamn cigarettes and booze, then they can't fucking outlaw salt. End of story. I saw this on the news this morning, and laughed my ass off.

Way back in the very early 90's - and I know Tim and Iggy will remember this - NJ tried to outlaw "runny" eggs in diners and restaurants to do away with salmonella and other uncooked food diseases. You had to have your eggs hard cooked - no more sunny side up or over easy. No more "dunkers" or poached. Scrambled, hard boiled, or hard fried - that was your choice. I also think, to the best of my recollection, that along with the egg law, they also tried to do the same thing in NY with beef - you could no longer get your steaks or burgers even medium rare. You had to have it medium or well done - which in "Lisa World" will earn you a big fuck you. Anyway, both laws lasted literally about a month and a half before restaurant goers in NY and NJ just went fucking nuts. I think I ate in one NJ diner and maybe a couple of NY diners where I had to put up with this shit before both laws were repealed.

Now, that was also a very long time ago - around 1991, I think. We have gotten significantly healthier since then, but I still have a hard time believing that fully-functioning, free-thinking adults don't have the option of salting their fucking food in a restaurant if they don't want to.

Plus, I openly admit - I'm a salt fiend, which is another reason this is pissing me off. I know I use way too much. But my blood pressure readings have always been normal on check ups, so they can kiss my ass.
