Honestly, you'd LOVE Minnesota, then. We put up with 3-4 months of winter hell but get 8-9 months of perfection. Our Spring/Summer/Fall months are glorious. Oh, and we have some awesome lakes, too.

I loved it in Toronto. Lived in an apartment building down the street from city hall with underground parking. So I never had to shovel, most everything was within 5 blocks (food, shopping, movie theater) and the subway entrance was across the street if I needed to go further.
