    They seem to be for a different movie in these examples. More serious and spooky too. I miss stuff like this from the 80's.

                One of the first special features I always go to on dvd's are the trailers. I love old trailers and now I really want to go home and watch The Godfather 1 & 2.

                  The problem with trailers now (and even back in the day) is that they show too much information. But today, you will see that same trailer a million times before the movie comes out so it's all fresh. Back in the day, most people would just see a trailer before a movie.

                    Today, no films are fresh anymore. We get bombarded with teasers, trailers, tv spots, viral marketing, and hundreds of sites spoiling every last detail. I kinda miss the days when magazines were the only film info available.

                      I intentionally try not to seek out all of the stuff available to try and stay fresh. But if you surf the net as much as we do it is nearly impossible.
