  • Greatest Universal Monster of All Time

So when I was a kid, my school library had some movie monster books that I would borrow all the time; Godzilla, King Kong, Frankenstein, Dracula, the Wolf Man, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon. When I saw the Creature, I thought he was a real dude. Thus began my love of, what I consider, the best Universal monster ever. Rob's mentioning of the Creature and how much he loved led me to ask all of you, who's your favorite Universal Monster?

Creature for the win with The Invisible Man close behind. And I loved those fucking books Ari. I stole them from my library so I could read them over and over as a kid.

If anything, go watch Creature from the Black Lagoon. That movie is fucking beautiful, and the creature design holds up and is still fucking kickass.

The Creature trilogy is pretty damn bizarre though. By the 3rd one, the creature has had plastic surgery to try and blend him into society. It's weird.

Might as well attach Gods and Monsters if you're going to see Frankenstein.

I have seen that. Frasier(?) was underappreciated.
