I did end up liking what Hawkey did near the end (he was a badass) but I just wish he was fleshed out more. It didn't help that he was a lackey for the first 2/3 of the flick. Plus he did get that sweet moment of shooting his arrow at Loki's head, which was a fucking badass moment.

And Black Widow got the shaft in this. I mean, you guys explained why she was a badass but we got NOTHING in terms of character development with her.

I was talking for the franchise generally. The first one is good. Like, I still love it. 2nd is HORRIBLE, and I liked the 3rd, though even if it could have been trimmed, I like it as it is.

1. Total bullshit that Coulson died. Sure, the gang needed a terrible event to unify them but did it have to be that?

2. There's no way the sequel could live up to the scope promised by the first post-credit scene. Seeing a full-on Infinity Gauntlet adaptation would be badass but would require how many studios to cooperate?

3. Really seemed like they should have used the Skrulls. Again, stupid studio cooperation.
