          It took two viewings, but it does for me what his best work does. By best work, I mean the less grandstanding bullshit and his slightly exploitative fare where he really focuses.

          This is such a mid 70s underground movie getting a major release from Amazon Studios in the modern era. It's nutty and I appreciate the work. My favorite Spike Lee film since He Got Game. I'd count 25th Hour, but that felt like such an open-ended adaptation that any other director could've done the same amount of work or better.

          I have new additions to add for the day, as I just found out I can go live with Number 19 and now have to wait until Friday.

              The Lobster is a one-of-a-kind movie. You're either along for the ride (and it definitely goes in different directions than you would expect) or not.
