That's what I did. New tv, new receiver, speakers, the works back when covid hit. Figured I wouldn't be going back to the theater anytime soon and it's looking that way.

The only movie I HAD to see in the theater was Jackass. That shit works so much better with people. The rest will look and sound amazing on my tv where I can get hammered and watch at my leisure not worrying about getting sick.

Samey same. We got a new TV, sound system, all the fixin's a few months ago and everything looks and sounds astonishing. No screaming kids, no fuckwits on their phones, no clods talking during the film - it's bliss watching movies at home. I could care less if I ever step foot in a theater again, just gimme that steaming on day of release, baby.

Jesus. We went to Taos on vacation and that tiny theater had 4 screens. 5700 people live there, plus whatever tiny mountain communities around it.
