Friend of mine saw it (Liked it OK) and expects critics to absolutely murder it.

I think he's off because Jones is one of those guys alongside del Toro, Wright and Johnson who is buddies with so many online critics/pundits they will probably go out of their way to soften the blow. Or outright look the other way and still give it good notices like every non-Spanish language film from del Toro.
