I will concede I give it more than it's due because I'm a sucker for the sweeping shots of the wilderness. Something about grandiose shots like that really strike a chord with me.

Those shots are fucking phenomenal, but everything else just feels like "Hey what dumb shit can we put Leo through while telling him he will TOOOOOTALLY get an Oscar this time?"

13 HOURS- say what you want about Bay, dude can still do a siege movie. I really liked this. But, like ZERO DARK THIRTY, it pushed me to a limit where I'll probably never want to watch it again. I liked how it was generally a-political, other than the usual Governmental incompetence. The cast is almost entirely bearded TV dudes who got buff. It was a little weird. Pornstache was great.
