True, but the industry is eventually going to go down this path anyway, Grave. CGI actors are already replacing performers in stuff like stunts and background scenes - we saw this back in the day with things like Sky Captain and Beowulf, the latter of which was all CGI. The technology has a ways to go, obviously, but it will get there one day.
Also, had a couple of people rant away at this on FB, saying it was disrespectful to the original actors, Disney sucks for doing this, etc. I don't see it that way at all. Both Peter Cushing's estate and Carrie Fisher signed off on this, so they got paid fairly for likeness usage. Plus, it saved everyone from the hue and cry resulting from recasting the characters (fans can be quite the surly bunch).Comment
