The script had issues, but my main problem was with the editing of the film. It was so tightly edited with sequences that didn't have room to breathe. The shot composition was such that, in many instances, you couldn't tell what you were looking at before the image shifted to another close-up. It was frustrating.

The editing and the shooting style of Quantum made me actively angry.

The car chase in the beginning is awful. It just gets worse from there (Mathis + Dumpster = PATHOS).

Quantum's problems weren't just in the script.
