I caught about a half hour of this the other night. It's a pretty entertaining documentary, even if you're not a FF fan. Grohl seems like a really cool guy.

I'm only half way through but this new Foo album is FUCKING GREAT. Unless it shits the bed in a major way on the back half I'd say it's their best since "The Colour and the Shape".

I want to hang with Dave Grohl, just once. He seems like an awesome dude.

He does, but part of what I liked best about this doc was that it shows just how much he has in common with the Corgan's and Rose's of this world. That's his band and he'll do ugly stuff to get what's best for it - like a father providing for his son/daughter. For all his "Nicest Man in Rock" status, that comes through loud and clear.

2 favourite moments:

• Dave's description of Smear's guitar playing, followed by him making Taylor jump almost out of his skin by blasting his part for "One of These Days" LOUD.
• Bob Mould.

Debut is still my favorite as well, but I can listen to any of their albums and not be upset with my choice.
