Even if it's a disaster, I'm super excited for this.

I want this to be good, but after the horrible Zach and Miri, I'm hesitant. REALLY HESITANT.

About the only thing I can take from Smith at this juncture, after all the bullshit he's pulled in the last two years, is his Hollywood Babble-On podcast. 100% pop-culture news of the week and about an hour in length.

Everything else I've washed my hands of him.

Sir, thank you. I have been enjoying Babble-On since he started it, but I'm a big fan of Ralph so I listen more for him than Smith.

Yeah, and the "allure" of a Kevin Smith podcast is gone. I mean how many does he fucking do on a regular basis now?

All he does is sit down, talk shit about everyone and then whine if/when someone "has the nerve" to call him out.

He's done after this flick and some hockey flick he's doing, right? Just going into producing or something?

Man, I really don't know what happened to him. Ever since Jersey Girl handed him his first clinker, he's never recovered.

                So he says...

He also swore he was growing up after Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back and no more of those flicks. God forbid he actually tried Green Hornet with the Weinsteins' help.

It's disappointing. I always loved his Evening Withs, and his blogs, and saw everything up until Cop Out. I'm starting to wish he would have been as good as I thought he was, or wished he would be.

Worst thing to ever happen to him were those "Evening of..." DVDs in retrospect. He was openly talking about shit in front of fanboys/frat-boys that was common knowledge in Hollywood for years, but nobody was stupid enough to speak of in front of mic. And he making a lot of money off it to boot.

I guarantee you any interest studios had in him over the years disappeared when they saw he was telling all of Mom & Dad's business.

The Jon Peters stuff and Prince stuff is the best shit he's ever told.

Agreed - man, the Superman story was beyond fucked up. I see Jamie's point - Smith really kind of slit his own throat with those, no matter how funny they are.

Agreed, and cements how WB doesn't know what to do with the character/property. Hence them begging Nolan to help them make the reboot and letting him as the producer make all the decisions.

Peters isn't still attached to the franchise, is he?
