My inner 10 year old fucking loved this.

The simple film-nerd side of me couldn't get enough of the bad 80s sword and sorcery adventure, with a very liberal use of gore, blended together with filthy language and humor. The studio-driven/commerce side, on the other hand, couldn't fucking believe someone (allegedly) with better business sense than me greenlit this. Nonetheless, God bless that fired gentleman.

Sorry Jamie, but man, I can't agree at all. There's some good fantasy stuff, but most of the jokes consist of "hey look I'm saying fuck in a weird setting!" Worst of all...it's just kind of boring. The pedo wizard was awesome though.

Listening to Kevin Smith bring up (again...even though he claims he's never brought this up before) on Hollywood Babble-On about how Green said he lowered the bar for indie filmmaking and commenting about how he's "sucking studio dick" with something commercial like Your Highness.

That would be a valid point. If Smith knew what he was talking about. Ain't nothing studio friendly about this flick.

Amusing that Smith says "He can tell..." from just seeing the trailer how studio-friendly this is.
