'Starblazers' was another Japanese cartoon from the late 70s/early 80s that was brought over to the US, dubbed, and unleashed upon the American youth. It was great, even with the 70's soundtrack.

'Robotech' was always my favorite, but 'Starblazers' was a close second. If done right, it would be an awesome live-action film.
