That sucks, because there's big chunks of Bond I've never seen and was looking forward to easily watching the Moore stuff and rewatching Casino Royale and Skyfall a million times.

EON or whomever owns the rights are bitches about it from what I gather. Like lots of rules and shit about what can and can't happen with the character. I could be completely wrong though.

Yeah, EON since the mid 60s has had an agreement similar to what Lucasfilm had with SW and Indy.

Basically, the studio gets distribution, but everything else belongs to the production.

EON controls Bond and decides who gets to distribute.

EON controls Bond outright because MGM never owned it. Not even a point of contention. But, now more and more people with outstanding deals are coming out and saying MGM didn't have the go ahead for this deal. Chief among them being Warner Discovery.

So, this is going to be a fun legal fight in the Summer/Fall.

Elijah Wood has been cast in that remake of The Toxic Avenger as the big bad guy. I still don't understand the thought process of this remake but gimme a trailer with Dinklage as Toxie and I'll form an opinion hah.
