That being said, for a movie that is going to start shooting in May/June; there has been next to no leaks.

Personally I think The Explorers is the perfect kind of movie to be remade. It was a fun kids movie, with kind of a shit budget...and could still work today and be better with better FX work. Now, if Joe Dante got the job again I would be thrilled, but how about Garth Jennings? Son of Rambow fits perfectly with the tone of The Explorers.
