I am pretty sure it got raving reviews at Cannes. Is it already out in the states?

OK so I'm not crazy, I thought it was Cannes. And sadly no it is not. But when it comes out I will be there.

      • Yeah, I am pretty stoked for that one as well. I guess I have misread B Metals post then.

        • Okay, that's a fairly funny starting image right there.

          • I'd rather hear real news about Star Trek 2 than about a fucking video game "connecting" the reboot to the sequel, thank you very much.

            • Are they still wanna bring out ST2 in 2012? Even end of the year sounds highly unlikely for me given the fact that apparently they have neither a script, a director (though I guess JJ is a lock after Super 8 did not set the box office on fire) or started pre-production.

              • Release dates are getting secured for summer 2013 now. So Paramount would be wise to commit to a new date for Star Trek 2. Can't see it hitting even next Christmas at this rate.

Super 8 was actually a hit. If it wasn't, then we probably would have seen Abrams commit to the Trek sequel sooner. Have a hunch he's going to end up passing on directing it. Which I'm perfectly fine with.

It's Enter the Matrix all over again.

If I could muster any enthusiasm for this movie I´d even care!

                      • Is it entirely possible that TinTin will horrifically flop? Not just domestically but internationally as well? There's quite simply ZERO heat on this thing.

                        • Relativity Media released the first look photo of mixed martial arts superstar Gina Carano in the upcoming action film “Haywire.”

The film also stars Channing Tatum, Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor, Michael Douglas, Antonio Banderas and Bill Paxton. It is directed by Steven Soderbergh

The film is about a tale of espionage and betrayal. A female covert ops specialist, who works in the deadly world of international operatives, strikes back after discovering she’s been double-crossed by someone close to her in the agency.

“Haywire” will be Carano’s feature film debut and she performs her own stunts throughout the movie.

Relativity Media will release the film into theaters on January 20 next year.

Absolutely. This Christmas holiday belongs to the Sherlock Holmes sequel.

                            • I doubt that. We surely will get a media blitz of epic proportions in fall. But than again it opens here already in October and so far it is non existent in any coverage.

And I am pretty positive that people extremely overestimate how beloved this franchise over here really is.

So maybe we do get another Tron indeed.

                              • The cast of Haywire is, with one or two exceptions, a cause for much rejoicing.

It's quite possible Fassbender might actually act Tatum out of the frame.
