I'd want to see it, just because our beloved Ed has a great "meh" look to him, worthy of an action hero ("Alien invasion affecting my 5 minute walk to work? Ninjas at Starbucks. Yeah, whatever. Don't care."). Hipsters will make him their new icon.

Credits roll. We follow Ed as he goes outside to buy a Starbucks.
(skip ahead 5 minutes)
Ed runs down the street, narrowly escaping the burning rubble that was once his apartment building.
(skip ahead 5 minutes)
Ed is screaming in terror in the back of a taxi cab as it hurtles down the street, narrowly escaping missile attacks from an unseen enemy.
(skip ahead 5 minutes)
I don't wanna close my eyes...I don't wanna faalll asleep...
(skip ahead 5 minutes)
All of California slides into the ocean while Ed looks on from a helicopter...incredulously. Jesus weeps.

If anyone suggests Shia as Hocken in the Bay version, it's a kick in the balls you get!

Since this'll be a Bay film, there'll be scenes of Ed looking up dramatically at a squad of F-22's flying by a fluttering American flag, as they unleash their payloads against the giant radioactive lizard that's laying waste to the downtown LA area. Cameo by Jake as he's knocked out of bed when the first missile slams into his home. "WHAT THE FUCK, MAN?!?"

Cameo nothing...Jake's the Steve Zahn type comic relief throughout the film.
