100% correct. It's a massive technical achievement in an otherwise bad film. The first film is ACES, though....massively entertaining with just the right amount of DEPPage. Sparrow needs to remain the supporting character, not the lead.

It seems that audience reaction to the Pirates 4 trailer was "Meh" at best to "That looks fucking stupid!" at worst. Fully expect it to under-perform here in the states.
