On another note, I saw SUCKER PUNCH the other day and...*gasp*...enjoyed it. I'm starting to question my film taste more than I usually do all of a sudden.

So I'm now officially the ONLY person here that loved this film. Rob, I was rooting for you to love this film as much as I did. Would you put this on par with SCREAM 3? I can't stand that film.

That's what I thought you meant. I've got no defense, other than this franchise is a weak spot/guilty pleasure for me. I've watched the first two films more times than I can remember over the last decade.

Have to give Scream 4 credit for one thing. At this point during "Up it's own 'clever' ass" opening, they remark how one of the Stab movies had time-travel in it. I WANT TO SEE THE TIME-TRAVELING SLASHER MOVIE!

Some thoughts (without spoilers, of course):
4) Craven balances the comedy and horror perfectly. Speaking of horror, some of the scenes in the film are the most bloody and violent in the series. It's pretty disturbing, actually, and there's one scene near the end that involves the killer that put a lump in my throat. I think you'll know which scene I'm talking about when you see it.

The only lump was in my pants.

Should have never gone past the 1st movie...
