Some thoughts (without spoilers, of course):
1) The opening sequence is the best of the series, or at the very least tied with the opening of the original film.
2) It's like the story and script reinvigorated Craven all over again. His direction is crisp and tight. The master's back spinning the wheels, and it's a pleasure to watch.
3) I've read some reviews that say the film takes a nosedive near the end. Not in my opinion. I didn't expect the twists and turns the film goes into during the last 20 minutes. I loved every minute of it.
4) Craven balances the comedy and horror perfectly. Speaking of horror, some of the scenes in the film are the most bloody and violent in the series. It's pretty disturbing, actually, and there's one scene near the end that involves the killer that put a lump in my throat. I think you'll know which scene I'm talking about when you see it.
5) How many fourth entries in a series can you say are actually worth the time? This one was. But the series should end here. I can't see Craven/Williamson topping this one for sheer entertainment and excitement. Could be my favorite film of the series.

But that's cool news. I expected garbage like the 3rd movie. I'll rent Scream 4 simply based on your recommendation!BACONBACONBACONBACONBACONBACONBACONBACONBACONBACON

Martin, I'm shocked you haven't seen ROCKY BALBOA. SEE. IT. NOW. If you loved RAMBO (2008), you're gonna think very fondly of this film. It manages to be the perfect companion piece and mirror to the original film and Stallone's career. Glad he ended the series on such a high note and not with ROCKY V.

I'll go on record now and say any man who doesn't like Rocky Balboa is no friend of mine. Seriously great movie to bookend the series and man The "stuff in the basement?" Still hits home with me."Fuck Rob. Also, he has a podcast called Podcaust. Edgy Holocaust humor lulz indeed." - The Faraci

Talk about a movie with its head up its own ass. My brother-in-law and I went tonight (out of sheer boredom) and during the "Oh look at how clever we are!" opening I muttered, "Is it over yet?"
Thank God the audience hooted and hollered during the screening making it fun for their reactions.Originally posted by AriThe only thing I want to tell her vagina is nomnomnomnomnomnomnomnom
