While it's completely hardcore, the whole thing is a critic of the Serbian Clusterfuck/War, really. It's not gore for the sake of gore, if you know how each neighbor was against everyone else at the time (and might still are). Whole families, towns and countries were torn apart by divides of religion and ethnicity.
