You have to remember most of these characters were created in the 40s. Genetic mutation and changes due to radiation? Certainly more real (or at the very least more plausible for the time period).

Brutus just seems to infer where he shouldn't. IT's not about if The Hulk or Superman is a more "realistic" character. It's the things they deal with that are more realistic. Also, my "Homosexuality" post was a joke minus the X-Men stuff. And that was mostly brought by Singer.
