But what I don't get is why you feel D9 is only an honorable mention compared to Avatar. Avatar didn't seem real. It was too pretty. Like I said in the Avatar thread, it was still pretty when the ashes were falling. I just couldn't connect with those characters and that world.
Oh, but I can. Both movies are about relocating a species that don't want to relocated and have human characters that, over time, understand the overall picture.
She gave it a 12 out of 10, and considers it one of the best films that she's ever seen.
Remember the episode of Beavis and Butt-head with the music video with the running dude on fire where Butt-head's just staring at the screen in a catatonic state? This sentence just made me do that.

'Avatar' was very good. The only truly GREAT movies in Cameron's library are 'the Abyss', 'Aliens', and 'The Terminator'.
*puts on blast shield*...so are we only talking his Sci-Fi? I would definitely say Titanic was probably his best, and ranks pretty high on the great movies list...
I enjoy all of Cameron's movies to some extent, but his only great film, the only time tested, still stands up, doesn't feel aged, or have massive glaring holes in it....Terminator.
