So far, our MN state fair has Rush and Wierd Al.

So we've got THAT going for us...which is nice.

For what it's worth, the Scorpions put on a hell of a show

I saw Scorpions in 2002. Jackass behind us on the walk back to the cars was fucking PISSED that they didn't sing Winds of Change and dedicate it to the WTC victims. I asked him if he realized it was about the fall of Communism and he said it applied perfectly to the WTC attacks. Holeeeeeeee shit.

Just heard that Rush is performing Moving Pictures in its entirety during this tour. First time they've done that.

No luck on the CSN tickets today - they're still in the "reserved for VIPs only" mode. They'll go on sale to the public tomorrow, so I'll hopefully snag them then.

I heard that, and will likely check that out when they hit NJ in September. Can't afford the VIP seats now, but the lawn seats at the Arts Center are pretty fuckin' good and a hell of a lot cheaper.

Not music but Lewis Black is coming to town next month. I love that guy.

And did you guys know Rollins personally responds to all his e-mail? I sent a note complimenting him on a great show in spite of a few drunk loudmouths (who he tore to shreds. It was awesome.) and he sent a reply. Pretty surprising.

Be even MORE jellouzer! George just called me and said that he got us tickets for next week to see Ringo out at Radio City Music Hall! Yes, we realize Ringo's like lounge music anymore, but still - the dude's a Beatle, he's one of the last surviving two, the concert's on his 70th birthday - I mean, really. We know there won't be crowd surfing and mosh diving, but we're excited anyway!

Boy, I'll tell you - there's something about our vacations that makes George score Beatle tickets the very next day back! He did the same thing last year - we went on vacay, and the day after we got back, he called to tell me he scored McCartney tickets!

                        Awesome.

I'm hoping to see Stanhope again this November when he's here.
