I actually have to confess - I have a huge soft spot for Courtney Love, and it's really a shame to see her having such a total complete downward spiral in the past few years. I actually thought this thread was because she died or something, which wouldn't surprise me. She was doing pretty well there in the mid to late 90s - she was off a lot of the drugs, I think, and when the woman cleans up, she's absolutely gorgeous (she looked amazing on the cover of Spin last month). Musically, I love "Live Through This" and "Celebrity Skin". I'm a huge Nirvana fan as well, but there's something about Courtney - dunno what it is. I'm not only a fan, but I acknowledge that she's my favorite train-wreck at the same time.

Anyway - I'm glad to see that her new album is getting good reviews, so yeah, I'll probably take the plunge.

She's a crank addicted waste of carbon that got Kurt wacked out of his mind, but Hole had a few genuinely good songs. I would still rather have kept Kurt for a couple more records, than have Courtney ruin People Vs Larry Flynt for me and write a couple good songs.

I do like some of her music though, and she does clean up nicely, and can act, but her lifestyle and the choices she makes... wow. Wasn't that long ago she had some dude nursing on her knockers in NY in public. And she wonders why she lost custody of her kid!
