Same here. I listen to a lot less EBM than before, but I still listen to VNV Nation, Assemblage 23 (Storm), or Covenant.

Can't go wrong with any of those. "Tears in the Rain" by Covenant was another song that got played everytime in the clubs.

Yeah. Like Tears in Rain (they should have mixed in Rutger...) is a club essential, just like I Stand Alone came later on.

Still, VNV's Solitary remains the best of the genre. Such an amazing song.

Funny, I can't recall EBM ever usinig Blade Runner samples. Full Metal Jacket samples? All the damn time.

Of course only just recently did I realize that Rotersand's "Exterminate Ahniliate" was using Dalek voices.

These guys were kind of a big deal for a few of us many moons ago (the Derry connection was a nice bonus.) The album this song's from, Once Like a Spark, is so consistent all of the tracks could have made it as singles. I'm glad this one made the grade, though, 'cos the combination of message and video is quite wonderful.

Without further gushing, a classic of that great age of MTV2 when there was more to rock channels than the worst kind of boring performance videos...
