I'm on a metal kick today.

Iron Maiden. Judas Priest. GNR (even Chinese Democracy...yeah I slapped down greenbacks for that, bitches).

I then went on to play that album on RB2, and had shitloads of fun. "Riad N' the Bedouins"' intro is insanely fun to play on the fakedrums.

And then I was given my pink slip when I got cocky and tried out Iron Maiden's "Run to the Hills". As far as I have made it in my quest to be able to play something like "Painkiller" on expert, firing that song up showed me just out of sync and retarded I can be when it comes to the fakehi-hat/pedal-your-idiot-feet-faster moments.

Shit, I could burn through most everything else with little to no problems, but even something as seemingly easy as "Girls on Film" figuratively tosses me down an elevator shaft that has piles of AIDS-infused needles at the bottom just in case I live through the fall. And why? Because it has that goddamn fakehi-hat/pedal-your-idiot-feet-faster moment peppered throughout its running time. Fuck you, Duran Duran.*

And with that lengthy aside, metal ruled the day.
