Can you see a character in one film becoming a character in another film at a later point in life?
As an example:
The Paperboy in BETTER OFF DEAD grows into Anton Chigurh in NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN.
Born with an obsession for getting paid, young Anton relentlessly pursues those who refuse to pay him what's he's owed. It doesn't matter the amount. $2 is just as important as 2 million dollars. Failure to collect a $2 fee when he was a paperboy drove him to psychosis and violence, leading to eventually become a cold blooded killer.
