I get it, a lot of you dig this movie. I just don't get the love. It's two people being as stupid as possible and I guess that's supposed to be the point but fuck if I just can't stand it. I was never a huge fan of Jim Carrey to begin with and a lot of the bits in this movie just do nothing for me.

If you faulted the film for being a poorly edited first-draft first effort from a pair of neophyte directors...I would give it a pass. But, look at this film and its sequel.

Hell, look at Caddyshack and its sequel.

Study the difference that comedic timing, understanding of the material, improv and general enthusiasm can do for a film.

I don't need all the technical details to get my point across. I didn't like the movie, PERIOD. Bottom line, this movie to me, is a turd. And I don't care how much you shine a turd, it's still a turd.
