What always bothered me was the immortals lacking a functioning circulatory system. I mean, they bled lightning from their neckstumps. But why not both? Why not have lightning and blood (and Bay-explosions)?

It should be the Fourth of July every time one of these fuckers lives through a knife fight.

Needs gore.

Clancy Brown is the next good thing in the movie that isn't the theme song and the overall idea.

It's not just the theme song that's good, though. Almost all of the Queen songs are great ('Who Wants to Live Forever', especially) and the Michael Kamen score is exceptional.

There was just something about catching this movie on a random cable channel on a vegged out lazy Sunday. I got sucked in big time. "Holy shit Sean Connery is in this?!?!?!?!"

I remember my best friend talked this movie up to ridiculous levels as a kid (about 7th grade or so). So we had a sleep over and he rented this flick. About 30 mins in I gave up and started playing Magic Carpet instead. Tried it again a few years later, made it through the whole thing but was bored as fuck.

Apart from ADR, he completed the entirety of his filming in ONE WEEK. He didn't think that Russell Mulcahy would get it all in in one week, and he kept joking 'when I'm here on the 8th day' to everyone, but Russell came through.

Love it or hate it, that's fine. At least ALL of us can agree on the Queen soundtrack, Clancy Brown, and the overall concept.

Also, I really wish that we had gotten some more completely Queen soundtracks. 'Highlander' and 'Flash Gordon' are made 100% better because of their involvment.
