Some co-workers and I have started a loosely organized movie club; one of us selects a film, all watch it w/in a week or so, and we discuss it over lunch. One guy selected "Class of 1984". A bad film, by most accounts. But it does have Roddy McDowell in it, and I stand by my declaration that his very presence enhances ANY film. Even "Class of 1984". Add to the list.

Lance Henriksen - yeah, he's been a lead before, but damn it, the man rocks as a supporting actor: Terminator, Aliens, etc.
Joe Pesci - Great in Goodfellas, great in Casino, great in Easy Money, great in Lethal Weapon 2.
This is rough; so many leading actors that I know of often do stellar work in supporting roles: Morgan Freeman, Tommy Lee Jones, Ian McKellan, Kenneth Brannagh, etc.Comment
