    Let's stop derailing the Project Runway thread.

    He was good for many years, but then he got overexposed by starring in waaaaaay too many films (most of them of low quality) that soured the movie going public on him.

    He redeemed himself by doing an excellent directorial job on 'Gone Baby Gone', and he looks to be following that up with another crime thriller called 'The Town.' He's also starring in it and I'll be damned if it doesn't look to be a winner.

    So yeah, I can forgive him for fucking 'Paycheck' now.

    He didn't fuck Paycheck. Everyone fucked that movie. It's a short story they made into a 2 hour flick. FUCK YOU JOHN WOO.

        Yeah, but we all ran with it. There's a good conversation to be had about the Affleck, but it really doesn't belong there where it will be lost to the ages.

          Because I liked his Bartleby in Dogma, I'll forgive Bounce. Not sure anything can make up for that and Gigli.

              it didn't help that he was starring in EVERY FUCKING FILM that came out for 3 years. Overexposure to the extreme, man. I'm all for striking while the iron's hot, but you've got to ease off and make sure that what you're choosing is quality stuff.

              Look at Matt Damon. He lived in Ben's shadow for a number of years and quietly put out quality work, letting his star rise naturally. Now, HE is the superstar and Ben comes off as the 'flash in the pan'.

              Ben should join the cast of SNL for a year. He's got the chops for it.

                Every Kevin Smith commentary he's done is fucking gold. Mallrats is probably my favorite commentary. Dude is great.

                    I'm looking forward to The Town, too, but that's mostly because I'm flagrantly gay for Jon Hamm.
