  • Basement Jaxx? I couldĀ“ve sworn that it was Chemical Brothers. However, fucking awesome indeed!

I am still waiting for Lovefilm (The EU-aequivalent to Netfilx) to sent me 13 assassins. But that might take a while. Eying to just blind buy it when the price drops a bit more.

    • It's not Basement Jaxx. It's Chemical Brothers.

      • Taking of Pelham One Two Three (The original)

Why is this movie so great? It's all about the little things about being in 70s New York. It's also why any attempt at a remake (There have been two, one on tv and the Tony Scott version) never works.

        • Croupier.

Clive Owen as a down-on-his-luck writer, who takes a job as a croupier (fancy french word for dealer) at a local casino in ING's LAND.

He gets embroiled in a robbery schemes, almost bangs River Song, writes a fucking book about it, and all while wearing The Edge's pilgrim hat from The Joshua Tree era.

          Solid little crime movie.

3 good laughs, a couple of chuckles, and a LOT of dead air. WEAK. Go see 'Bridesmaids' instead.

I vaguely remember seeing that and yeah Clive Owen was enough to keep me tuned in although it was on the whole pretty good. Solid would be a good word for it.

My bad, it was LAAAAAAATE. Still, the entire movie is pure solid. Unlike Tron: LegacyƩ

I love Fincher, and I liked that movie more than I expected it to, but still, REALLY? Best movie of the year? It was good, but hardly AWESOME. Anyone lese than Fincher and it would have sucked.

                      • Batman: Under The Red Hood

Pretty enjoyable, though the new Joker is fucking HORRIBLE. Just a bad voice. Brittany walked in and the first thing she said was "wow that voice acting is shit" and walked away.

I haven't seen any of the other straight to DVD comic movies, but are all of them as "mature" as this? Was kind of shocked to see drugs so blatantly discussed along with a dufflebag filled with heads.

Martin - Andrew Garfield? Not a pussy. Red Riding Trilogy.

                        • Well, (without spoiling) Garfield isn't really a badass in Red Riding:1974.

As for Batman: Under the Red Hood, the voice of the Joker is done by none other than John Dimaggio aka Bender Bender Rodridguez.

I think that one is the darkest so far, as the others have a few more adult themes but remain their usual vibrant DC selves the rest of the running time. I can't wait until the Year One/eventual DKR cartoons come out.
