I love that flick. I has the underrated Bruce Greenwood!

I like Twohy. I still love Chronicles of Riddick: DC.

    • Once upon a time there were, Billy, but not so much now.

Below sounds pretty good, Vin. Looks like a double feature is in order!

      • Another endorsement for 'Below'. Quite a nifty little horror thriller that my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. The mirror scene made us both jump.

        • It really is a great little movie, and it's got Zach Galifynakis(sp?) in a dramatic role!

          Plus, it's got CHINLUND™.

            • I still stand by my feeling that Sharon Stone should not have been in that movie.

Also, that movie featured some of the highest shirt collars I've ever seen.

              • Stone is the only weak link in the film for me. Especially when you compare what Lorraine Bracco did in Goodfellas. My appreciation for the film as a whole has grown in inverse proportion to my appreciation of Stone's performance in it.

On The Wolfman: its no classic and the CG is often terrible, the denouement a damp squib. BUT it does have some beautiful design, makeup and cinematography, Blunt sideboob and a half-man, half-wolf turning people into offal. So it scrapes through with a pass for me.
I experienced an invasion of my mind by a transcendentally rational mind, as if I had been insane all my life and suddenly I had become sane.

                • I enjoyed Casino's use of using comedians in serious roles. But the whole James Woods subplot should have been brought in earlier. The movie feels kind of slack compared to how well Goodfellas moves.

I will indeed grant you that the overall 'look' of the film was fantastic. It has atmosphere in spades, and the violence is often very well done, but it plays better as a trailer or a highlight reel than as a movie. None of it gels into a cohesive film that you give a damn about.

Oh, and Emily Blunt does nothing for me. She's OK looking, nothing more.

                    • Ginger Lynn (ex pornstar) claims that she ALMOST got cast in the Sharon Stone role for 'Casino'. This was when she was pursuing a legit acting career and Scorsese didn't know about her past. She was one of the finalists for the role and got dismissed outright when Scorsese was informed of her prior career by one of his staff.

                      Ah, what could have been...
