Sure, its broad, but it doesn't step over into crude and some of the simple visual gags - Hubert starting to twist more and more energetically after the mambo; Richard Sammel going to tear down the swastika and ripping it in half, with his heartfelt "Scheisse" - were the funniest for me. Witty and beautifully designed, this is how Austin Powers should have been done.
Dujardin is awesome. The sequel is great too. Sadly, the translations and subs blows. You'll miss a couple of GREAT gags.

My French is pretty solid, so between the subs and me picking up the difference, we've got it covered.
I experienced an invasion of my mind by a transcendentally rational mind, as if I had been insane all my life and suddenly I had become sane.

      • Watched 'The Jackal" last night. Hadn't watched it in years. Still dig the shit outta this movie. Especially the "Let's throw a bad hair piece on Willis" game they play throughout the whole thing. Gere is a tad ridiculous with his accent (and Lesley couldn't take him seriously at all) but it's not a bad little thriller.

Jack Black's exceptionally violent demise puts this film in my Top 20 of all time...

          • Watching 'Batman: Under The Red Hood' on Netflix Instant.

Pretty good... but not enough to give me Ackles Fever.

Yeah, Lesley was a tad shocked by that. That whole scene is aces.

              • Oh Vin, I respect you so much for that one, as much as I have a soft spot for that actor...

                C'est bon à savoir!

                EDIT:

Saw The Wolfman. I was either bored or unimpressed, I can't tell. We guessed the other werewolf's identity 10 minutes in. So predictable.

And that the werewolf looks like a retarded caveman didn't really help me like it.

                  • 'The Jackal' is OK, but it's so far removed from the greatness of 'the Day of the Jackal' that it isn't even funny. Still, it's fun to watch Bruce Willis in a rare turn as the bad guy.

I HATED 'The Wolfman'. Boring, poorly conceived, and poorly acted from everyone involved. It's an embarrassment.

Agreed... the first film was excellent. Still, if you get a chance to read the novel, its a fucking page turner.

                      • I thought The Wolfman was OK, but it absolutely could've been so much more. Like Van Helsing should've been so much more. I also caught on to the second wolfman's ID early on.

ARRGH. I need a damn good horror fix soon.

Yup and with the snow you guys are experiencing it might be quite relevant. There are wolves in the Pine Barrens, right?
