    Dark Blue.

    LA crime drama that got overshadowed by all of the other LA crime dramas that plopped out of the Hollywood Baby Maker post-Training Day.

      I love the idea of setting a cop movie at the time of riots. But this didn't feel right. Not a surprise from Ron "Hollywood Homicide" Shelton.

          I know he made Bull Durham, that's the only good Shelton movie I've seen.

          I can't speak for the Durham-redux that is Tin Cup though. But I did find out he directed White Men Can't Jump.

              In a perfect world, Russell would have earned an Oscar from this role. James Ellroy polished this script (in case you didn't know) but didn't like the movie after he saw it and asked that his name not be attached.

                          Zodiac is great, but I can't ever decide if Zodiac or Se7en is his best.

                          Saw Milk (finally), Burn After Reading and The Fantastic Mr. Fox. Enjoyed Mr. Fox the most.

                            Still haven't seen Mr. Fox. I thought Milk was ok. Never going to watch it again, but I fucking love Burn after Reading. SO MUCH.

                              I really REALLY liked Milk. But one should watch the documentary that came out in the 80s.

                              As for Zodiac or Seven? I'd say Zodiac, far more sophisticated.
