If you look at it as an alt reality film then I think it's much easier to swallow. Maybe I'm wrong to do so but I feel like that makes most of the "miss-steps" easier to deal with. The movie is not that bad but people were expecting the next great action/sci-fi flick and just got an ok action/sci-fi flick.
