What Emmanuelle Movie Did You Just Watch?

For some reason, I missed out on all these b-movie sci-fi movies of the eighties. Or at least, I don't remember much aside from big studio releases like Raiders, Richard Pryor's Soul Glow VS. Drunk Superman, Empire Strikes with Incestuous Kissin', and its follow-up, When Carebears Attack.

I was too busy watching Bikini Carwash on the satellite at 2 in the morning hoping my dad didn't wake up to the recalibration of that POS dish.

Just kidding. Though I still haven't seen Last Starfighter, and I'm pretty sure it won't change my life like The Shins.

With that said, I saw the first hour or so of Cinemax's best block of entertainment this side of replaying The Gate for the fifteen billionth time: Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

Holy shit, that was my jam back in the day.

Much love for the first one. It's a miracle that the concept and execution worked so fucking well. IT's not even a guilty pleasure movie. It's just a great flick.

Currently watching Marty with Ernest Borgnine. This almost seems like The 40 year old Virgin of its day.

Of course I kept expecting Borgnine to deck one of his customers after he kept incessantly being asked if he was to get married.

'Bogus Journey' is twice the movie, though. LOVE LOVE LOVE that film, especially for William Sadler's Grim Reaper.

The soundtrack blew the first one out of the goddamn water.

But nothing beats the mall VS. historical figures.

MOVING MCALLISTER- I'll bet you can never guess where this story of an uptight law intern escorting the wild niece of the scary managing partner (Rutger Hauer!) across the country goes. Napolean Dynamite continues his streak of terrible acting and Mila Kunis doesn't get near as naked as I'd hoped.

FIRED UP- Such a shameless rip-off of BRING IT ON that they actually feature a scene where all the cheerleaders are watching BRING IT ON and reciting every line. The guy from BEERFEST and his buddy are really good, though, and there are a lot of babes.
