I didn't see The Cell. So I wouldn't really know that much. Except that in 1998, Jennifer Lopez was getting movie work.

Mute it and watch it. There are some great set pieces to stare at.

It is fucking dumb, plotwise.

As opposed to Earle Haley, because of the way he looks. Really amps the creep factor. Also his crime was different as he was only busted I believe for lewd behavior and exposure. It's not clear if he did anything else.

He's accused of killing a girl in the book. The ending is way different, and I think better in a way. More profound.

I cried at the end of Starman, that was a great ending. Of course, at the time I thought American Beauty was amazing and really related to my life. This was said while my parents were going through divorce.

indeed. I love me some old school Joe Dante. I think the last thing I saw done by him was that episode of MoH- Homecoming. Still my favorite episode of that series.
